Email verification for Odoo

Clean the email addresses of your Contacts, CRM leads and mailing lists without leaving Odoo — and without burning your sender reputation. Verification runs on Checkmails' European infrastructure, so your Odoo server never sends a single SMTP request and your data never leaves the EU.

Why verify from inside Odoo

  • Your reputation stays intact. Verification happens from our managed EU IPs, never from your Odoo server — no local SMTP, no blacklisting risk.
  • You only pay for certainty. “Indeterminate” addresses (catch-all, greylisting…) are automatically refunded; you pay only for valid or invalid verdicts.
  • Honest verdicts. A true “indeterminate” when an address cannot be concluded, rather than a fake “valid” that bounces when you actually send.
  • 100% Europe. Hosted and processed in France (Scaleway), no US subprocessor, out of reach of the CLOUD Act.

How it works

  1. Pick a plan and generate your API key on https://checkmails.eu (the REST API requires a paid plan).
  2. Install Checkmails — Email verification from the Odoo App Store and paste your key under Settings → Checkmails. It is the only module to install: the CRM and Email Marketing features are added automatically.
  3. Open a contact and click Verify email, or select several rows in a list view and run Action → Verify emails.
  4. Each record gets a status (valid / invalid / indeterminate), a 0–100 score and the reason. Your remaining credit balance is shown right under the verify button.

Compatibility

Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0 — Community and Enterprise, self-hosted or Odoo.sh. Works with Contacts, CRM and Email Marketing (Mass Mailing). The two bridge modules install themselves automatically when the matching app is present, so there is nothing extra to configure.

Data protection

Checkmails is GDPR-native: EU-only hosting, a public list of subprocessors, a security overview, and one-click data export and account deletion from your dashboard. A DPA (article 28 GDPR) is available on request.
